Placement is fully booked until September
Whilst on placement you will be a working part of the communications and engagement team.
You will gain insight into what communications and engagement means in an NHS hospital Trust, including the different functions of:
~ Internal communications
~ External communications (including media handling)
~ Digital communications (websites, intranets, social media and digital email marketing systems
~ Events
~ Communications and engagement planning and evaluation
You will gain an insight into how communication is disseminated across the organisation and externally to our patients, public and stakeholders.
You will gain an insight into different methods of communication and which is more effective in certain scenarios.
You will observe and assist with the work of the of communications team whilst adhering to data protection regulations.
At the end of the placement, you will have an opportunity to ask questions and reflect on what you have learnt during your placement.

You are required to be well presented, neat and clean. Trousers or skirt can be worn with a polo shirt or short sleeve blouse. Shoes should be low heeled, cover the whole foot and be made of waterproof material.
Jeans or leggings are not permitted nor plimsolls. Jewellery should be one band ring and one pair of plain stud earrings. Naked below the elbow, no wrist watch or bracelets. Hair should be neat and tidy and if long tied back. Work experience Identity badge will be provided and should be prominently displayed whilst on placement but should not be worn when not on placement.
The Trust operates a “bare below the elbow” policy.
