To observe the provision of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy on the in-patient rehabilitation unit at Herts & Essex hospital. To observe 1:1 and group therapy.
To gain an understanding of the roles of the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist in this setting.
To gain an understanding of the provision of care within the NHS.
To attend meetings/training as occurring during the placement.
It may be possible to shadow other members of the multi-disciplinary team during a placement.

The Trust operates a "bare below the elbow" policy for all staff working within clinical areas. Students must therefore come in a plain short sleeved top/shirt/blouse.
Plain dark trousers
Closed in shoes (smart trainers are acceptable)
Long hair must be tied back
No jewellery
No nail polish/gel nails
Individual's under the age of 18 will not be able to participate in personal care activities or visit patient's homes.
